*Description:*	A candidate term list to replace and extend the REP93 Bibliographic Document Type list. For the indexing and description of archives of the archaeological or built heritage, a simple approach has been adopted, with the intention of retaining compatibility with existing more complex archive related standards such as AACR2, and proposed implementations of Internet resource discovery standards such as the Dublin Core. Terms covering format (for example of a photograph) and medium (for example digital or microfilm) have been excluded. It is suggested that these form additional units in MIDAS with appropriate terminology introduced in future versions of INSCRIPTION. Superseded terms from REP93 Bibliographic Document Type list have been included and mapped to preferred terms in the new wordlist.
