| Description: | The list covers Monument Protection Status with the appropriate associated Monument Protection Grade. It represents the basic national grades and should be treated as the core base line. The core base line list can be augmented with locally derived designations, grades that can be added to the list as users require them. The scope of the terminology is based on designations that relate to monuments and not area designations such as SSSI or World Heritage Site. It is noted that Scheduled (Ancient) Monuments can relate to both large areas and to a single monument, as it can relate to a single monument it is appropriate to include such designations in this list. The list owners can provide advice on compliance to this list. | |||
